Zhuang Zi's Discussion on Fate and Life & Death Luo Yao

內容提要：命與生死問題是人生哲學的重要問題。先秦諸子對命都非常關註，莊子亦然。而關於生死問題，則尤為莊子所重視，因為它是莊子人生哲學不可或缺的部分。莊子對命與生死均抱著一種順其自然的態度。因為隻有這樣，才能保守個體精神的自由、自在與心性的寧靜和淡泊，莊子把精神的自由、自在與心性的寧靜和淡泊看得比其他一切都更為重要。

Fate and life and death are the major issue in philosophy on life.The scholars before Qin Dynasty are concerned a lot about fate;so is Zhuang Zi.As to life and death,Zhuang Zi attached special importance,because it is an inseparable part of Zhuang Zi's philosophy on life.He holds the view that people should let life and death take their natural course.Only in this way can individuals keep their spiritual freedom,comfort and peace of mind,which Zhuang Zi regards as more important than others.
